Welcome to the Unapologetically Eastside Virtual Tour

The Unapologetically Eastside Tour is a tribute to the rich and diverse history of Charleston's Eastside, where generations of families, culture, and stories have flourished for over a century. This immersive virtual experience brings to life the voices of the community, starting with the 'Hear Our Voices' section, written by Mr. Omar. Through this platform, we aim to bridge the digital divide and provide access to the untold stories, traditions, and landmarks that define the Eastside’s unique identity. Special contributions from Mr. Bradford and the Clemson University Architecture and Historic Preservation program have elevated this project, with plans to make historical markers placed throughout the neighborhood to guide our narrative.

 

We invite you to explore and experience the Eastside in a new, dynamic way, and look forward to sharing even more in the future as we continue to expand this journey.
